PackageMaker not getting app icon

I just had a problem with PackageMaker after I changed an icon for an application I was writing. As far as I can tell, the icon is in there correctly - is is in the info.plist file, and part of the resources, and is visible in Finder and the dock when built/run from XCode.

However, when I drag this app into PackageMaker, the icon disappears and gets replaced by a generic system icon. The resulting (installed) application also has the same generic icon, even though the info.plist and resources in the app would lead me to believe otherwise. This did not happen with the prior (also custom) icon, and as far as I can tell the two icon files are generated the same way.

Anyone have any ideas?

Can you double-check that? Do you have a unique creator code too?

PackageMaker is not a very robust application. If there is anything amiss, it will easily break. The Finder, Dock, etc. are all much more forgiving. I tried one of my programs and it retained its icon in PackageMaker, so I can't reproduce what you are seeing. If the creator code fix doesn't pan out, you may have to post a package for people to look at.

Maybe build a generic app with a custom icon and see if you can get that working. If not, you could post that package instead or maybe explicitly list all the steps you performed to give it a custom icon.
