Current HD cams compatible with Final Cut

Hello everyone,
I noticed on the Apple website, they provided a list of compatible cameras for use with Final Cut. Most of those models aren't made anymore. Is there a current list somewhere of the cams that are compatible?
If this sounds a bit basic, it is. I'm just getting into the world of video.

The only cameras that are truly compatible are DV and HDV cameras using Mini-DV TAPE together with hi-def cameras shooting AVCHD. The AVCHD cameras only work with FCE4 and Intel Macs.

All other cameras will produce video that either will not work or will require constant rendering.

With these cameras the footage can often be converted to a usable format such as DV or AIC by MPEG Streamclip.
