Creating and printing using incremental numbering in Pages '09

Hi,

I am trying to create/ print some tickets for my childs school disco/dance evening.

I have got an image and I want to print it 100 times but with incremental number ie 1-100. Is there a 'smart' way to do this or do I have to print one at a time and manually insert a different number?

Apologies if this is a totally dumb question, I have tried to find an answer but am totally stumped 😟

1. Create a ticket designed in Pages without the numbering

2. Create a matrix of the tickets back in a 2nd Pages document, using a pdf of the ticket saved from Pages

3. Apply an incremental number in cells of a transparent table overlaying the ticket pdfs.

I had another idea.

If you can make one ticket per page, use page numbering to provide your numbers:

+Menu > Insert > Auto Page Numbers+

If you need to gang tickets up on a page:

+Menu > Page Setup… > Layout > Pages per Sheet:+

Hi Peter

I had thought of this but I had hoped there was a way of not duplicating the image to 100 pages?

You don't duplicate the image to 100 pages.

Make sure you are in *Word Processing mode* (choose a blank WP mode template).

Select the ticket design:

+Menu > Arrange > Send Objects to Background+

+Menu > Arrange > Lock+

+Menu > Format > Advanced > Capture Pages… > Name: > Ticket+

Now use this Section available from the Section pull down menu on the Toolbar and the image will appear in the background on each page.
