my ipod wont restore through itunes.. any other options ?

hi, my PC is like infected by this virus called "regsvr.exe" it's messing with my ipod. my ipod can't be ejected/disconnected the right way because my pc isn't letting me to remove it plus when i want to restore my ipod on itunes, and when the restoration starts the loading, it suddenly stops and a message pop out from nowhere telling me that some files on your ipod are in use by other applications ! and this virus i think is the one who is messing out with it. so my questions are:
* is there any other way of restoration, other then itunes?
* is it possible that my ipod caught the virus ?
* if i wanna restore my PC to it's factory settings to remove the virus, and i wanna connect my ipod (while it holds the virus) can the virus re-enter my PC?
* and if anyone knows anything about this virus and know a good removal of this virus just send me the link to download it..
thanks

is it possible that my ipod caught the virus ?

Possibly. There's a few viruses/worms out there that attack and spread via detachable storage drives, and a nano is at heart a storage drive.

Try downloading and running the free version of Malwarebytes

http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

Does Malwarebytes detect the virus? If so, what name does it give the virus? (There's a few different ones out there that can attack using regsvr.exe files, and the Malwarebytes name might allow us to track down a specific removal tool or set of instructions.)
