How do you remove MIDI volume and pan data from imported tracks.

I imported a song from Finale in standard MIDI file to LE8. It works fine but it wont let me change the volume or pan on the tracks that were imported. After experimenting I am still not understanding the MIDI parameter section in LE8. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could you upload that midi file somewhere? It's hard to get what's going on from your description...

You could try checking the velocity/panning information in the Hyper editor (select the region you want to edit, then press [command] + [5])

In the hyper editor screen you can change it the way you like.

The easiest way is to use the event list for each track. The first few events listed for each track should be Control events. Look for control event number 7 (volume) and 10 (pan) and either delete them or set them how you want them by entering new values. If you delete them they will revert to the default values of 127 (max) volume and 64 (centre) pan and you will need to adjust them using the mixer.
