Motion 3 program will not open

When Motion 3 opens, the Canvas Pane is all that is available to view. The Utility Pane is totally unavailable. It will not open from any tool bar icon, or other method. It just started doing this out of the clear blue. No updates, or file changes have taken place on the MacBook Pro.

I tried to uninstall and re-install the program. No help. I really need this program. Does anyone have suggestions?
