itune library won't save - not enough memory

My problem is as described above and what I've done so far ...

Re-installed itunes 9, re-loaded music folders, imported my library (over 800gb of songs/books so don't want to re-input them all!) but still the same error messages

Any ideas?

Thanks

800GB ???? Wow, no wonder memory is a problem!

However, you need to be a bit more specific, where exactly is the memory (that there isn't enough of) and where is the message from?

From the subject title, I have to assume that the message is from iTunes, is it? Presumably then, the message is referring to the computer's hard drive when you try to import all of this into your computer. So how big is the hard drive on the computer?

Its a message from within itunes about memory rather than hard drive space (currently running itunes library off 2TB ext HDD) and it comes up when itunes boots up

This problem has only just started and it relates to the library for itunes rather than the file themselves!

Have attempted to import back up library file but again it says that there is not enough memory 😟

Any ideas?

"The itunes library cannot be saved. There is not enough memory" is the message and it appears when I open itunes up.

I first assumed this was a corrupt library file so I re-created a few of the playlists and exited the programme as normal. On restarting the application I was again to that "The itunes library cannot be saved. There is not enough memory"

So I imported a back up library file that I update when I add any books etc to the library through the File > Library > Import function (has always worked in the past) and it loaded fine and I exited the programme OK. On restarting however I got the "The itunes library cannot be saved. There is not enough memory" message.

The only changes I have made between itunes working and not working is to update it! So I uninstalled it, re-downloaded it and reinstalled. Same problem. Oh and to top it off, I can no longer see my Apps within itunes so some advice on how to get them back would be appreciated

thanks for any help!!! Frustrated 😟
