Frustrated at sms/text mesaging timestamp

Hi everyone, I realised that the iPhone does not include all the timestamps for all messages, I've researched it and the only fix around it is to jailbreak the phone and install an app, now what I don't get is why apple decide to ignore such a design error (a lot of people are complaining about) which every other phone manufacturer has done correctly.

Can someone explain this?

Thanks guys.

This is a user to user help forum only for technical support issues and questions, and I seriously doubt any fellow iPhone users know anything about Apple's decision in this regard.

A number of people whined and complained about the iPhone not supporting MMS, which took Apple two years after the original iPhone was released.

A change in this regard may or may not be in the works. If in the works, it must not be at the top of Apple's priority list regardless the number of people who have or are complaining about it. As far as I'm concerned, I couldn't care less about this and I think Apple has much bigger fish to fry. Why should providing a timestamp for every single message in a thread be more important than a feature not currently available that I would prefer?
