Samsung Corby mobile phone and Mac

Morning.

Does somebody here have experiences how to pair and to sync a Samsung Corby mobile phone with Mac OS X 10.5?

Kind regards, vatolin

Pairing any Bluetooth phone with a Mac: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1591

There are no Mac sync solutions for the Samsung Corby currently. The phone does appear to have SyncML which is one of the requirements for syncing with iSync, but there is no suitable iSync Plugin available.

I'd suggest contacting Samsung to see if they plan on releasing an iSync Plugin (as they have with a few of their other phones), and if not contact novamedia, who support many Samsung phones:

Hello,

we have just added the Samsung Corby to the list of supported phones for FoneSync. Please check the website at: http://www.novamedia.de/en/mac-fonesync-samsung.html

You will have to use a USB connection to sync your data with FoneSync for Samsung phones.

Kind regards,

Glad I've found this thread.

I have just bought the Fonesync and no matter how I try I cannot get it to sync with the Samsung Pixon M8800.

Bluetooth connection from Mac works OK, and I can browse the M8800 from the Mac, but I cannot sync anything to the phone as it either hangs or says 'set phone to always accept connections' - the latter has no such phone setting, and the former hangs even when trying to sync 10 contacts.

Anybody any ideas?

I can't get my Samsung Convey (phone) to send photos to my MacBook Pro. It shows up as a device in the phone's Bluetooth Menu, and I can send a name card or a calendar event but I cannot send photos.

To send photos you go to a separate folder, the pictures folder, and the problem is getting the device to show up and stay there. It will show up but not stay as a device.

I called Samsung and was told "we don't support Macintosh computers, call Apple." They'll support a transfer to a Windows machine, but not an Apple machine.

So, anyone here want to help me?

The laptop sees the phone when I try to pair that way. The phone sees the laptop for sending other things, but it won't pair for sending photos....

Any chance that Samsung has released a fix to make this very popular phone work with Mac? Would be a shame is all Mac users avoided Samsung...
