10.6 Server license info (downgrade to 10.5 Server?)

If we buy a 10.6 Server Unlimited license can we use that license number within a 10.5 Server installation? (we have 10.5 Server installation media and want to buy a couple licenses to use within a Virtual Machine... we'd like the VM to be on 10.5 for now and upgrade later to 10.6)

1. will 10.5 server accept a 10.6 server license as valid?
2. is this legal per Apple?

thanks

Mac OS X (10.5.8)

1. No. 10.6 server license serial numbers only work for 10.6 installations. I tried it, just to be sure.
2. Irrelevant, but for an answer you should probably contact Apple or a lawyer.

Best of luck.
