Copy Photos from the Camera Roll to an existing Album on the Iphone

Can I copy or transfer multiple photos from the Camera Roll to an existing Album on the Iphone? Or does that have to be done through Itunes on my mac.

What is the function of the Copy button ? Sharing allows the photo into an email, so what would be the best use of Copy?

No, you cannot. You'd need to transfer the picture(s) to your computer, add them to a synced folder/album, then sync them to the phone.

Copy allows emailing multiple pictures at once, adding pictures to an email reply (instead of a fresh message) and also sends the pics at full size ('sharing' them reduces them to 800x600).

Thanks for the info.... Hopeful in the future the iphone will allow you to arrange photos directly on the iphone into different albums.
