I have just relaunched and achieved the same result - this is a copy-paste of the entire crash report. Is there somewhere else on the system where i can get the balance of the crash report? (BTW - in the next message I will post what Firefox gives me when I try to do the same as the crash report there seems more comprehensive).

*"Code Type: X86-64 (Native)"*

If you are running Safari in 64 bit mode, try running in 32-bit mode instead. Right or control click the Safari icon in the Applications folder, then click: Get Info In the Get Info window click the black disclosure triangle next to General so it faces down. Select 32 bit mode. Also, (in that same window) make sure Safari is NOT running in Rosetta.

If you are using AppleScript or Automator for repetitive tasks, that could be the culprit.

From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...

From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.

Go here for trouble shooting 3rd party plugins or input managers which might be causing the problem.

HI,

Your best bet at this point since it effects both browsers is to back up all your important data and perform an Erase and Install. You can choose to Archive network settings using your SL disc.

You didn't mention... did you check to see if you are running Safari in 64 bit mode? I gave you in the instructions above to change to 32bit mode. Your crash report indicates 64.

Erased my hard drive and reinstalled SL. Before installing anything else I ran Safari in 32 and 64 bit modes and got the sae crash. Here is what triggers:

go to my company web site which triggers a download of Cisco Anyconnect VPN client - worked
try to run the Citrix web portal - ask for certificate and then crashes

NOTE - works perfectly on another Mac 10.5.8 and on Windows.

Any ideas?
