Can someone tell me if there is a way to watch movies and tv series with cc or subtitles when bought in i tunes and watched in apple tv?

iTunes supports only very few movies and shows with close caption or subtitles.

If the video supports it then it is available. You can turn on closed captioning in the AppleTV settings. Go to Settings > Video.

I'm afraid not, until iTunes rents/sells movies with such capability. In settings, I have subtitles and cc turned on permanently, but have never found an iTunes movie where they appear. Let's hope Apple reads and fixes this, since it's a major shortcoming.
