How to get rid of that yellow line

It seems unfortunate that I can do a better job matching up certain tracks if my main one is in an odd time signature or whatever. My nemesis is that yellow line that keeps pushing pieces of my track where they don't belong, and GB refuses to let me negotiate where I want them.

Is this a feature I can turn off? I thought it was the 'snap to grid' thing, but I was wrong.
