iPhoto Sharing of Albums

I have a Macbook Pro Computer and an iMac. I created an Album on my MacBook Pro computer and want to share/move this to my iMac through sharing. I've set up sharing between my two computers and see the photos on each computer, but can't find a way to share my albums or even burn these to CD to move them. Any help or tips would be appreciated!

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.2), iPhoto/iLife09 v9.0.3

Welcome to the Apple Discussions.

Three options:

Best:

Use iPhoto Library Manager to move the album, photos, versions and associated metadata between the Libraries.

Next best:

Export the Album from the host Library (File -> Export) to a folder on the desktop. Drag it to the other machine. Import to the other Library. This way you don't get the multiple versions. You can write the metadata to the files on export.

Least Best

Enable Sharing in your iPhoto (Preferences -> Sharing), leave iPhoto running and move to the other Mac. There, enable 'Look For Shared Libraries'. Your Library will appear in the other source pane.

You can drag the pics from Shared Library in the iPhoto Window.

Remember iPhoto must be running in both accounts for this to work.

THis way you don't get the versions and will miss a lot of the metadata.
