Iphone Recovery After Restore?

Ok READ EVERYTHING before you post. I have been googling and reading for 5 days now.

Here is the situation.

1. Laptop that had the iPhone backups HD is shot, UNRECOVERABLE so I cant restore or scan itunes.

2. The Iphone then proceed to lock up and crap out BEFORE I could create a new backup/sync. I had to Restore to a BLANK iPhone 3.1.2

I need to scan the IPhone with recovery software to get back as much as I can.

My problem is there is NO recovery software that will recognize the IPhone as a harddrive. Every attempt and software has failed.

I can use windows or a live Ubuntu ID is needed I will even find a MAC if someone has a positive experience with the same issue and was able to recovery DIRECTLY from the IPhone


DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO RECOVER FILES FROM AN IPHONE AFTER A RESTORE WITHOUT AN ITUNES BACKUPS?
