Help! I have just purchased 3 songs on itunes, but I am having no luck actually downloading them. A message keeps coming up "you do not have enough access privileges for this operation. Please check the connection to the network is active and try again"
I have turned off my firewall, and I have tried changing my administrative settings, but nothing is working.
please help

I too have purchased a number of songs and apps, and can't get any of them to download. I've checked for available downloads, and I get the message 'unable to check for available downloads. The Itunes Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.' And when I come back I get the same message. When going to my account and trying to download from there, I can't get it to download. I've made no changes to my system and just a couple of days ago, I was able to download without a problem. I've even downloaded Itunes again and still can't download. Can anyone help me? I would appreciate any help. Thanks,

I still have not figured out why I can't download. Sorry, I'm no help.

+access privileges+ is the key phrase here.
That sounds like your Vista permissions are not correct on your iTunes Media folder.
In Windows Vista, the default location is: \ username \Music\iTunes

Go into itunes menu > Edit > Preferences > Advanced tab
Make sure of the folder location.
Then give yourself ownership and full control over that \ username \Music\iTunes folder and all its child subfolders.

Restart itunes so it discovers these new permissions, and try the download again.
