You need a Windows aware program. Try WinClone from TwoCanoes. Disk Utility won't work.
CampTune from Paragon-Software may to resize (but I'd never suggest any program etc w/o backup first).
Casper 6.0 will also clone or move Windows to a new drive / partition.
A lot of trouble would be avoided by "over estimating" rather than minimum and under-estimating (10GB for even XP).
I'll give WinClone a try, thanks. Other threads mentioned using Disk Utility for the image backup, but you're right, it's not Windows aware.
And yes, I should have given myself more space at the outset; I wasn't planning on using Windows for much of anything, but it's become more useful of late. Thus, way more room needed
Hi, hoping I can jump on the back of this post as increasing my windows partition is what I need to do and I've never done anything like that before. Not sure what all this cloning discs thing is about?
Is there a step-by-step you could point me to please?
I was dreading the thought of having to re-format and re-install everything!
Thanks so much
