iMac G5 (17-Inch) 1058 model startup problem

Replaced the caps, inverter board, and now the LCD and the iMac still won't start to a viewable screen. The 4 LED lights are showing a correct "state", 3 on and the last off.
The mac boots to a chime and I can hear the OD trying to read the boot DVD/CD (since it was a blank new HD). But no LCD screen whatso ever.
Ideas?

macbook pro, 1.8mhz, 2 gigs ram, Mac OS X (10.4.10), Add'l Ext. Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-110D-USB2

Hey Steve,
Can you see anything on the screen? Use a flashlight pointed at angles at the display. Try an external VGA monitor plugged into the mini VGA port.
Try resetting the PRAM, SMU and open firmware.
Would help to know the CPU speed and size.
still won't start to a viewable screen

What were the original symptoms? Did the screen light up before you swapped out the caps?
