I have a PC that runs Windows Vista. My iPhone works fine in iTunes, but my PC won't recognize it as a drive anymore. It always used to. I've downloaded the latest iTunes and rebooted my phone and still nothing. I want to be able to go in and get my pics and vids like I used to. Can anyone help? Thank you.

Like the iPod touch, the iPhone does not support disk mode and will not show up in Finder or Windows Explorer. This related article:

Then why have I been able to do it for the past 2 1/2 years? This is a recent problem. Only within the last 3 weeks. What I mean is, before, I would plug my iPhone in and I would go to My Computer tab from the Start menu and open My Computer. It would then show me all my drives including an iPhone drive. About 3 weeks ago it stopped showing it. Thanks. Hope someone can help.
Maynoir i just recently had this problem. what i found out is pictures/videos saved from mms or email were causing the iphone not to show up on my vista pc. i had to email all the pics and vids i had recieved through email/mms and then delete them from the phone. after that the iphone showed up as a drive with the rest of my pics and vids. i hope this helps it took me a couple hours or trolling google for answers.
Hello I have the same problem My phone woked for Years Recognizing my pictures
It would pull up autoplay And ask me what i wanted to do!
Now nothing!
I wont even show up in my computer My buddy has a 3g And i will plug his up and my phone up his 3g will show up but my 3gs will not!
I was just on the phone with apple support for 2 hrs she didnt even know what to do she is going to give it to her engineer to look at Then call me back with an answer!
When i find out what it is i will let you know.
I know the feeling of not being able to save your pics that you have taken on your own computer It really *****!!
I too anxiously await an answer. Like other posters, until a few days ago I dumped new pictures and newly manipulated pictures from my Camera Roll into my computer by an automatic popup dialog that appeared whenever I connected my iPhone to the computer.
Now that dialog box does not appear and my iPhone does not show up as a drive in My Computer. Like other posters I resort to emailing the photos to myself, which is very cumbersome and time consuming-- can't keep doing it that way!
Hoping for an answer and solution soon-- a very detailed and easy to follow solution...
image capture will recognize my iphone, and it is possible to get my photo's that way, but my computer and ituines do not recognize my iphone.
i must say i recently deleted iphoto because i hated the way it hides your original photo's someplace unclear. may or may not have something to do with it,
