Greyish Smudge marks behind the glass screen.

Wow...and I thought at least the new models would have this fixed. I'm still shocked they're selling so many of them.

I'm not really sure we can tell if there are grey smudges unless the iMac is turned on. Is this dust under the screen that you're showing us?

yes, it's dust under the screen. i don't have the smudges issue (yet). should i be escorted to another thread? haha

I too have a problem with my new 27" iMac late 2012. Grey smudges appears on the bottom left and right corner of my LCD panel in 3-4 months. What to do please help and suggest.

@Abhishek ShastriI just had my late 2012 new imac replaced for screen issues. They'll send you a new one and you gotta move everything to the new one and ship back the old one.

Messed up! You should have Apple fix or replace part(s), especially if under warranty.

I have the same problem. My screen looks similar to Seyumi's screen. I own a 2011 27inch Imac. I read somewhere that if you turn down your brightness about half way or turn off your computer for a long period of time, the water like stain should go away. I tried it and bam! The grey stain was gone. It does suck though not being able to have my computer on 24 hours a day or have the brightness up all of the way, but whatever it keeps me away from applecare.

I'm really unhappy with my 27 in iMac. This sort of thing shouldn't happen to a computer costing so much money.

Hilarious!!! Thanks for the laugh. I sometimes feel like that dog just finished "cleaning" my screen like that when I see all of the smudges in it...

i just bought a imac 27 2013 few months ago and found a small spot of the smudge marks on the right bottom side, hope will not getting bigger...very dissapointed....

I got my late 2012 27" iMac about 3 months ago. It has some light blacksmudge marks on the bottom right of the screen. I guess they havent fixed the problem yet. 😟
