Is there a difference between a UJ-825 & a UJ-825-C?

I recently purchased a pre-owned Powerbook to see what the "Apple Experience" was like.
The one I originally purchased was advertised as having a bad optical drive, so I found a UJ-825-C to replace it. To make a long story short, the laptop wasn't as advertised so & found another to replace it. In the meantime the replacement drive arrived.
The Powerbook I have now shows it has a UJ-825 drive that doesn't support dual-layer burning. I did a search for the UJ-825-C & the specs say it does support dual-layer burning.
My question is, is there a difference between these two drives? If so, I guess I need to swap them out so I have the capability to read & write dual-layer DVD's.
Thanks!

Powerbook G4, Mac OS X (10.5.8), 1.5GHz, 1.5GB ram
