How can I import .PCX images ?

PCX is an older media format, but I would like to import a lot of files in this format to my iPhoto '09 library, but it seems, that even Snow leopard (preview neither) don't recognize the format.
Can someone tell me a good software with I can batch convert these files or import them somehow ?
