Best Quality Codec?

I am using a Kodak Zi8 to record in 1080p 30fps and the camcorder uses h.264, AAC codecs. Since I can't really edit this in FCP I wanted to know what codec I should use in Compressor to output the best possible quality? I've tried Uncompressed and end up with hugh files so don't really want to use that. Recommendations are appreciated.

I am also uploading edited video to vimeo.com and end up having to encode after I finish editing in FCP. These are the accepted file types for uploading to vimeo.com: asf, asx, avi, divx, dv, dvx, m4v, mov, mp4, mpeg, mpg, qt, wmv, 3g2, 3gp, 3ivx and 3vx

So I would also like to know which codec I should use for this? Again, for best possible quality.
