Hi there, my keyboard has suddenly started to act up. I have had the laptop 5 years and have never experienced this problem. Basically the UP and RIGHT cursor keys, the plus key, the key above the TAB key, the caps lock key and the tilda key have all stopped working. Everything else works fine. Anyone Ideas??, its driving me mental. Thanks in advance.

Connect a USB keyboard to the machine and see whether it has the same problem. If it doesn't, replace your built-in keyboard or use the external instead.
I also have an 15" G4 and have had a similar problem; difference being is that none of the keys would work. This happens intermittently, and after a reboot the keyboard works again. I noticed that when this happens, a green LED under the keyboard (around the '5' key) lights up. If you have the same problem, the LED is probably lit. This doesn't seem fatal, but more like a system timing issue with the hardware and OS.
how would he go about replacing the built-in keyboard?I'm having the same issue, this post is taking me forever to type with the help of the keyboard viewer...sigh.My Powerbook is 5 years old too.d Delete, tab, space bar and left arrow keys all stopped working.
