Arranging/Rearranging photos in iPhoto 09

Would anyone know how to arrange photos in iPhoto 09? I had an earlier version and I was able to drag each photo within the album to where I wanted it placed in the album. . I've searched for an answer to this, however, the only info I can find is to arrange Faces, Events, and Places. Nothing about actually moving them within the album itself. This option doesn't seem available in 09.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. If you're in an Event or the Photo mode with Event titles displayed the only sort available is by date, ascending or descending. It's the nature of the new version.

To be able to manually sort photos put them in an album in the left hand pane of iPhoto. Then you have complete control of their order.

Thank you, Old Toad, I struggled with this for an hour...looking online for help and through the help function in iPhoto. Your simple answer made my day!
