PowerBook G3 (m3553)

I trying to find a manual for this model and keep on getting the G3 series model. I am just trying to figure out if this laptop that was given to a friend is funtional.

To first determine that I need to find out how to turn the machine on. No obvious powerbutton. Plus will it work if the battery shows that it is dead? I do have a brand new power cable but it does not seem to be charging the battery.

A link to the user manual for this model would be great.

Thanks, Sean

This is a Kanga, 3500c G3 - the power button is the one on the top right of the keyboard with (I think from memory) a sideways triangle on it. This threw me on my second hand 3400c when I first got it.

Your best bet is to go to this page and look at the 3400c manuals as this G3 was essentially one of those with a better chip.

Good Luck!
