Logic Pro 9 and Korg Triton Problems

Ok heres the deal. I just recently bought a Mac Book Pro. Iv'e been attempting to Slave my Keyboard (Triton) through Logic 9, using an M-Audio USB Midi interface (Uno). I've tried everything under the sun that I could think of to get the sounds from logic to play through the triton. I've downloaded M-Audio Drivers, updated my mac os software. Tried connecting the midi cables in different ways. I don't kno what else to do. I've even tried messing around in the preferences in Logic 9 but nothing seems to be working. I've been at this for at least a week and a half and no ONE has been able to help. I've called Apple, Korg, and M-Audio. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. :/

Do you mean you want to play your triton sounds through Logic? You've said "the sounds from logic to play through the triton". If thats really what you want, I don't think its possible. If its the other way around, let us know and we'll help you out.

No I meant Logic sounds through the triton. I've seen it done in person b4 and I know its possible. Just dont know how to achieve it myself. I just want to be able to load sounds into logic and just be able to play my triton instead of using the on screen keys in logic. idk if im explaining it right But i know its possible.

Ok, you don't want to play your logic sounds THROUGH the triton, you want to play logic sounds through logic using the Triton as a controller. MIDI OUT of the Triton to MIDI In on the MIDI interface. Now play the keyboard and you should be able to see MIDI data in the MIDI meter on the transport bar. If you can't, you are either wired wrong, have a bad cable, or don't have the driver for the interface properly installed. If you can see the data, then select a track in the logic with a software instrument installed and you should be able to hear it when you play the Triton.

yeah what you said lol. But im thinking I don't have the driver installed properly becuz all the wires are working fine. I switched out my cords with a friends and all of my equipment works with his keyboard / midi interface. So im assuming it's an installation issue. Though I can't see how. Not like installing a driver is rocket science But I can't think Of anything else that would be wrong .

When you play the keyboard do you see any data indicated in the MIDI meter on the transport bar?

Open *Audio MIDI Setup.app* you'll find it in the Applications folder>Utilities.

Click on the MIDI tab,do you see your audio interface there,and Triton as well?

Enable the channels that it receives and transmits(Triton) by clicking on the *get info* button when Triton is selected.

Nope I get nothing when I go to this screen. Could it possibly be the M-Audio Midi Interface Im using? Should I get something more advanced than this USB UNO ? I'm getting way too frustrated with this thing.

The uno does look a bit fragile. Maybe its defective. Do you have a friend with a computer you can hook it up to? Or with a different interface you could try out? That might help to tie down the problem. Also, have you looked to see if there is an M Audio user forum or tech support? Maybe they could help you diagnose this problem.
