Q: having laserwriter 8500 problems again ....

it was working a few weeks ago ... paper feed setting to standard cassette and my error handling to "switch to another cassette with the same size paper" (which I have to set each time ... it doesn't remember it). Anyway, it doesn't respond, green light flashes for a minute then it switches to a steady green light and nothing. If I restart, I get a new Laserwriter test sheet, so the feed from the cassette is working well.

I took the multipurpose tray out, as the feed in back was broken. A few weeks ago, these same settings just bypassed the mp tray and took from the regular cassette tray. But now, if the mp tray is in, the machine will grab from there (despite my computer print commands) and cause a jam. So I took it out, and now all it will print is the test page!

Any advice? I'm using 10.4.11 on a emac g4 (ppc).

Emac PowerMac4,4 CPU: PPC G4 (3.3), Mac OS X (10.4.11), CPU speed: 1 GHz, RAM: 1 GB
