transferring photos on broken iphone

My new phone (new but got wet) will not power up unless plugged into wall. Does not power up connected to USB. No wireless. No service. No fun! I can still get to camera roll when plugged into wall. Any ideas on getting photos and videos off? Never synced to itunes. Is there a removable memory card inside? Is there an iphone usb cable that is higher voltage so that it will poer up? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you much.

Welcome to the discussions,
sorry about your phone, there's no removable memory card inside the phone. Some people got their phone functions partially back by putting the device in a sealed bag of rice and letting it stay there for a couple of days. In case this works for you and you can connect to your computer, disable autosync in itunes before you connect. Syncing to a computer for the first time will erase all media first and you won't be able to copy your pictures to your HD.

FYI: Photos in the camera roll are not itunes content and are not touched during the sync process(except being included in the phone's backup). Photos in the camera roll are treated like any other photos in a digital camera and are imported to the computer by the appropriate image capture program.

The only way you're gonna get the pics off your phone is to connect it to your computer & hope your image capture program sees the phone. Since the most power that a 2.0 USB port on your computer puts out is 500mA that probably explains why you're only able to power the phone from a wall charger, which puts out 1A. You could try using a high powered USB hub...look at the specs and see if you can find one that puts out 1A.
