Forgive me if this isn't the proper discussion section for this query....
As the resolution in cameras increase, the file sizes of just a handful of photos becomes enormous. I'm shooting RAW and each image is close to 60MB. I've bought a 1.5 TB external hard drive to store the photos so my computer doesn't grind to a halt from lack of room.

Question: I'm currently opening the photos in iPhoto. I then edit them in PS and put them in dated folders on the desktop. These I can move to the 1.5 TB HD, but I'm still left with the originals in iPhoto. So I'm wondering what's the best way to stash even the originals, or would another external HD for the Time Machine backups be the answer?
Thanks for any help!
