Syncing issues

I have a new 64GB touch to replace my old IPOD and i've had nothing but trouble with it, firstly it would not restore on this PC. it would not complete the cycle but i managed to restore it by putting ITUNES on the wifes laptop.
Now it is unable to sync with itunes on my pc (it is the latest version), when i plug into this pc it is showing all my music in the ipod and i can play it from there but when you unplug the ipod and try to use it that way it is saying there is no music stored ?
Anyone else had this problem ?
