Boot Camp 3.1 Help (When Nvidia silently fails & 3.0 Won't install) - 7 x64

My computer is first edition Macbook Aluminum.

I had the problem that when I tried to install Boot Camp 3.1 it would install the Nvidia graphics card but then silently fail at that point. After reading around it became apparent that boot camp 3.0 had to be installed first as 3.1 is only an upgrade. After then putting in the Snow Leopard DVD, I was greeted with the prompt that said that 3.0 couldn't be installed. If you got stuck here, like I did this is how I finally got it to work. There may be extraneous steps here but this is how I did it.

1) Install Windows
2) Put in Snow Leopard DVD
3) Open up Windows Explorer
4) In the URL Bar enter: "D:\" hit enter
5) Now that you are browsing the Snow Leopard DVD copy the "Boot Camp" folder to your computer (This step may be extraneous)
6) Once copied over, open it up and navigate to the "bootcamp\apple\" folder and fine the boot camp x64 installer.
7) Right mouse click on it and click "troubleshoot compatibility" (Note: if you can't right mouse click like I couldn't, run from the start menu search "On Screen Keyboard", with the boot camp x64 installer selected click the on screen keyboard button that looks like a little menu.. two buttons to the right of the space key.
8) The trouble shooting compatibility option will tell you that it will 'skip the version check' - start the program with this option
9) Install Boot Camp 3.0
10) Reboot
11) Download 3.1 for x64
12) Install and reboot - Enjoy!
