Since yesterday I have not been able to sign into my itunes account,I can access the store and download podcasts but can't preview or buy any tracks?
I enter my apple id and password and the the bar just hangs with "Accessing itunes store..." I havn't downloaded any tracks since nov so have no idea if this is a new thing or has been going on for some time. the same thing happpends on other pc's i've tried.

Any help.

    so.. I've re installed itunes which has fixed the preview of playing tracks but I still can't log into my account which means I still can't buy anything, also none of the links on the guick links box on itunes will work which mean I also can't Redeem a voucher or make a new itunes account!

    Is this happening to anyone else or it just me?
    any help please.

    iTunes 9.0.2.
    Trouble logging in for a couple of days.

    1. Always have logged in with my username only.
    2. Now requires me to login with my
    3. When I log in with my my account details (top-right hand corner of iTunes store) states
    4. All my previous purchases state in Info that my Account name is just username.
    5. Now logging in with ( any new purchase list the Account name as
    6. My account two days ago (just username) had credit on it. Now its gone because I can no longer log in under that account.
    7. All purchases under that account that have updates are not available because I cannot log in.

    ITunes & iPhone error message:
    This Apple ID is not available.

    Also, tried logging in to send this reply and I received the message This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons. Why???

    So I reset my password - to the same password and had a few teething problems, but have now managed to login.

    Note: has not been affected. There has been no issues with my login for my account.


    But wait there is more....

    I just thought I would try it again, because I had just reset the password through Apple Discussions, and I can now login with just my username in iTunes. All seems to be working as per usual.

    Why there has been an issue with iTunes and Apple Discussion, and not with logging in to - I don't know???

    Perhaps this will fix your problem as well - reset your password.

    thanks for the help I reset my password but I'm still unable to sign into my itunes account. I can't even make a new one! where can I email apple

    I'm using itunes 9.0.2

    I also reset my password and it still says " apple id has been deactivated." what should i do? I already waited 8 hours until before i tried logging in again and it still doesnt work. Is there someone from itunes that i can talk to?

    please help!

    are you connecting using a router? i have been unable to connect to the itunes store since before christmas until yesterday when i changed the mtu on my netgear router to 1400. i had been experiencing problems connecting to secure sites like paypal bank etc. These are all ok now. when i ran itunes diagnostic test the only problem was the secure connection to itunes store.

    yes I do use a router and I still can't sign in to my itunes account!, what did you do to your router to make itunes work again? I really need the help everything I've tried doesn't work.

    I can't sign in either. For more data on this thread, this started when I tried to access the iTunes store, and it would just sit there. It would never connect and there was no error message. Decided to "sign out" to see what would happen and then sign in again. Now, when trying to sign in, this happens:

    "could not complete your iTunes store request. an unknown error occurred (-50)"

    Thank You SO Much It fixed the prob! I can now sign in to itunes and connect to secure sites that I couldn't before.

    i have this same issue since yesterday, unable to log into the store, and gives me error (-50), when i try viewing my account from itunes

    it turned out to be a promblem with the mtu settings on my router if thats any help?
