In my dorm, my MacBook Pro picks up two separate WiFi signals-both are campus wide and both open to all students. My Touch, however, isn't picking up on either, although it will connect to both once I get to campus core. Both signals are showing up strong on my Mb's airport, so I'm not sure why they would be totally ignored by my Touch. Thanks!

the ipod touch isn't as good at picking up wifi signals as computers are. not sure if that would explain your lack of connection though.

which generation do you have? my third gen is better at picking up the connection than my first gen was.

I just got it yesterday so the latest gen. So I'm basically out of luck?

Not entirely. Try resetting network settings on the touch. Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

But Anna is correct. The touch is not quite as sensitive as your MacBook is going to be picking up WiFi signals.
