I have to provide an mpeg 2 program stream file monthly for playback of school board meetings & I'm looking for something other than Compressor to do it with. My main editor can do it, but then it's tied up all day rendering. The other system I have is too old to update compressor to do this file type. Any ideas?
FWIW, with Compressor 2 you can create a transport stream and then change the file extension to .mpg or .mpeg. I do that all the time and they playback fine on our two broadcast servers.
Compressor 3.0.5 on the main machine & 1.2.1 on the old. Never thought about the extension change. I've done that to create my own ringtones from m4v to m4r though!
