BootCamp SATA driver

I installed on my MBP Win7 x64 via BootCamp 3.0 I also upgraded to BootCamp 3.1 yesterday.

Win 7 runs fine, but the HDD feels somwhat slower than under OSX 10.6

So I checked the HDD-Controler driver in Win7, it says Standard IDE controller, Driver: Microsoft 2006.

Is this driver really correct? I tryed to install manually the Nvidia SATA driver (BootCamp 3.0). But this failed. Win7 says this is not the correct driver.

Any ideas?

Not sure but usually on a PC you have to enable AHCI before you install the OS.

And of course it is up to Apple and Boot Camp Assistant what happens, and we are locked out of our 'modern' EFI. Though maybe there is a way to.... what WOULD you load as far as the Advanced Options to load drivers before / during install screen to select target hard drive??
