Lexmark X4580 Under Snow

My Lexmark X4580 was working great under Snow on my mini. But hung up on my 17" MBP with a "supplies level" non-existant document in the print queue ... I had to PAUSE the printer, then RESUME to get docs printed.

A call to Lexmark was fruitful. They have a LexmarkNetworking1.10.16.dmg file to clear that "supplies" nonsense ... AFTER moving all these files to the Trash:

1. HD > Library > Printers - drag the Lexmark folder to Trash.
2. HD > Library > Printers > PPDs > Contents > Resources - drag the Lexmark files to Trash.
3. HD > Library > Receipts - drag the Lexmark files to Trash.
4. HD > Library > Applications Support - Lexmark files to Trash.
5. HD > Library > Image Capture > TWAIN Data Sources - drag Lexmark file to Trash.
6. HD > System > Library > Extensions folder - drag Lexmark files to Trash.
7. Empty Trash.
8. Open Disk Utility and repair Disk Permissions.
9. Reboot.

Then install the LexmarkNetworking1.10.16.dmg patch.

THEN download and install their Snow Leopard driver package.

Both my machines are now working as they should: wirelessly printing with no "hangups" like I was experiencing.
