Magic Mouse battery cover

Although not insurmountable, it should be called to the attention of Apple that their supplier for the Magic Mouse (which I like a lot) needs to spend another few cents and provide a battery cover that stays in place.

If others experience the same problem and post, it may get corrected.

I have the same problem, it is driving me up the wall.

My Husband also has a magic mouse and he hasn't had this issue, I had a very close look at both our mice and it looks like mine is faulty; it doesn't seem to catch on the little black "tab" and if i push down on it the cover just pops back off, my husbands mouse doesn't do this

I am starting to wonder if the was a dodgy batch.

It is a shame because I love the mouse.

Very odd... I have two magic mouses and one has a faulty cover. I took the working cover and put it on my more frequently used magic mouse and it stays on. I took the faulty cover and put it on my magic mouse that came with the working cover and now, the faulty cover is now working. They are both working cover. ODD!!

I nearly destroyed my mouse trying to get the **** cover on. It really made me angry and I can't understand why it isn't working. It is really unfortunate because I love the mouse otherwise. Anyone know if Apple will replace the mouse because it has a defective cover? Or maybe they can just replace the cover? I don't even know how to answer the support questions when trying to get an apple support specialist because there is not an option that deals with mouse cover.
If I can't replace it, does anyone know if using the mouse without the cover is that big of a deal?
