How do I change the maximum number of busses in a Logic 9 Project

Hello there!

I recently ran into an issue where I used up all 64 of the maximum number of allowed busses in a project, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to create more busses. Is there somewhere where the maximum number of busses is set to 64, and can I change it? I seem to remember that I can somewhere, but I can't find it.

Thanks for your help!

You are all spoiled brats ! 64 busses and 8 sends not enough ? Yeah, no way of working with less than that, right ? You should ask your money back.

Either of you should be locked into a room for a week with a band, a coupla mics, a tape recorder and an 8 channel board with two sends, one post, one pre. After that week, you would have developed some neat ways of working with what you have. Promised.

did it actually help in resolving the problem?

Well, as you aptly suggested the use of another Aux, that leaves the 64bus bit.
You know, in our age (Statler's and Waldorf's), eyesight is deteriorating, and as such, we personally fail to see the problem with being confined to only 64busses.

EDIT: Actually you didn't, cause the SP was asking for more Sends, not more Auxes. Nevertheless, routing a Track to an Aux gives you eight more Send slots. And 15 more Inserts, should you somehow run out of the 15 you had already.

Hi Christian,

I didn't say I agree or disagree with you. That is not the point. I just wanted to say that lecturing people doesn't help. A very well known software manufacturer once said "there will be no need to have more than 768kB of RAM in the future". I also can add that my most favourite computer game was Preliminary Monty on my Atari 800XL. It used 16kB of RAM and was very good. And it had no busses at all 😉

And our age has nothing to do with it. You don't know how old I am, right?

Maybe. But then, helping people in using more than 64 + 8 wouldn't exactly help either, cause the next obvious complaint would be: "Yeah, right, but I need more than 128 busses and more than 16 Sends. 128 + 16 is far too limiting for me". And so on. And on. And on. Instead of ever so slightly shifting one's perspective into making do with what you have.
