Printing to a networked OKI B6300

Hi,

I Am having issues printing to a OKI B6300.

No problems printing to the printer from a WINTEL box, but with Mac OS X issues.

Printing on the LAN by LPD.

Printer shows idle on Print & Fax window.

When I send a job to the printer status changes to paused.

Originally I could print to one OKI B6300 but not the OKI B6300 printer in another office.

So swapped the printers around, to see if it was related to the printer or Mac.
Swapped the IP addresses as well.

Can still not print to the printer in the office that I could not print to before swapping the printers around. So not related to printer.

It must be related to the printer qeu, I think. So removed the printers from Print & Fax and set up again.

Now I can not print to either printers.

The problem is with both Mac ProBook Mac OS X 10.5.1.

Tried printing to both printers from Mac Pro OS X 10.4.1. Can not print to either printers, printer paused.

Could there be a firewall issue? I Am sure it is a printer que issue?

Can anyone out there help me please.

Regards,

Simon

Dual 1GHz PowerPC G4, Mac OS X (10.4.11), Probelms with Max OS x 10.5.1 aswell

Hi Simon, and a warm welcome to the forums! 🙂

Swapped the IP addresses as well.

Just checking, the IPs of both OKIs & the Mac have the same numbers in the first 3 places?

So removed the printers from Print & Fax and set up again.

And they booth show up in Printer Setup Utility?

At the Apple Icon at top left>About this Mac, click on the text below Mac OS X where it says Version 10.4.x and report the Build# please.

Then click on More Info>Hardware>Printers, are the correct IPs shown for both Printers?

Are you sure Printer Sharing is NOT enabled on the Macs?
