Can't publish my site - Error messege- Can’t create the file “index.html.”

I get this messege when I try to publish my site. I have iweb 09.
In the root URL i put http:/web.me.com/username/photos/oldphotos.html
I am saving the file on an external disc, not idisc because I want to have at least 2 sites.
I do have a mobileme account.

'PUBLISH ERROR

Can’t create the file “index.html.” The disk may be damaged or full, or you may not have sufficient access privileges.'

Does anyone have any ideas? I have not done this before. This is just a test. I have a website for business I'd like to publish later on. Thank you for help!

You are doing it all wrong which is why it won't work.

If you want to test your site then select publish to a folder option. You are trying to upload using ftp all the while entering web.me.com as the url.

If you want to publish to MobileMe, then select ftp to MobileMe and publish there - you have obviously selected the incorrect option - ftp to external server which you are not doing.

If you do not have a MobileMe account then sign up for one and then select ftp to MobileMe or publish to a folder.
