Extreme IP address?

Just got a new airport extreme to use with my PC and set it all up assigning it an ip address of 192.168.1.1. Thats what my old linksys had, so I used that. On the main page of the airport utility, it shows this as the ip address. When I go to the internet tab and select tcp/ip it shows the router ip address as 24.181.64.1. It won't let me change it from that. What is that ip address depicting? Thanks, Bill

That is your public IP address assigned to you by your ISP. You can't change that.

The 192.168.1.1 IP address is a local IP address used on the LAN side of the AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS).
