Best way to listen to iPhone's ipod music in the car?

How do I connect my iphone to play it's ipod music through the car stereo system?

I have a Honda accord 2005 lx. It has basics, not audio aux outlet, no cassette player, does not seem to play mp3 cd's either.

I bought a product when the car was new, all I got was static. Is there a good way to be able to use the iphone in the car without getting static? If there was a bluetooth solution, that would be cool, but car doesn't have bluetooth. I live in North Carolina

Best way, cost is no object, is to install an iPhone/iPod interface into the car. Many stereo shops can do this.

Otherwise there is the FM transmitter approach which I think you mentioned. Many of these transmitters have an antenna loop you can lengthen to 30 inches or so. Not very portable, but no more static. Some models are easier to modify than others. The small $10 clearance item at Radioshack has a modifiable antenna.

The aux input works great if you don't need to control the iPod from the radio, I connect it this way routinely and have a separate charger when needed. The OP, however does not have an aux port.

Using earbuds or headphones is illegal in most states and I know a few that have been ticketed for impaired/reckless driving. Get into an accident wearing them and you could open yourself up to lawsuits because its considered impaired hearing. Ignorance of the law is no excuse. You can't fight the impaired hearing thing, don't even think about it. Claim to be senile and they'll pull your license right there and you will be walking for awhile.

Drive safe.

Thanks for the replies.
I apologize for my attempt at humor. The punchline seems to have died a slow death.

For the record, Louisiana headset allows for ONE ear to be occupied using a headset, the other ear has to remain free of earplugs. It is a secondary offence, an additional ticket after being pulled over for a primary offence.
Also, it would be unsafe to drive with both ears in headsets.

After watching some of the drivers I still think senility is legal...

Unfortunately, there is little humor in this forum (but often, much antagonism). This is really funny though... http://bigpicture.typepad.com/writing/2007/04/texaschilicoo.html

Lighten up all, no one's right all the time and there's always someone else that knows more than you.
