Handwriting-Like (Script) Fonts - Best Choice?

What do you think is the best Handwriting-like font working across browsers? I used Savoye LET recently, it had problems. Is there a universal handwriting-like font you use? Thanks. - Fabe

There is no web safe handwriting font that I know of. The following page lists fonts that will be viewed the same across all platforms: Web Safe Fonts.

If there is no font that you want to use you can force each text box using that font into an image file by adding a drop shadow at 1% opacity to the font. Then it will look the same in all browsers on all platforms.

However, creating a lot of image files on a page will cause the page to load more slowly and increase it's non-compatability with Internet Explorer. You'll just have to publish the site and test it on a PC running IE.

I can understand the slowness part, but why on earth would having more images on a page make it less compatible in IE?

I have experienced more issues with FireFox doing this than IE, and then only with Flash ads. I'm interested to know whether anyone who you're drawing your information from has used IE regularly for the past five years, or whether they are just going on assumptions and an Apple vs. Microsoft rant? I am not the biggest fan of Internet Explorer by any means, but I've never had any more problems with it than I do Chrome or Safari or fireFox - and I use all three regularly for testing websites.

I took a look at Roddy's page, but I gave up after he started rambling about how Safari is the best browser to view all websites. I find this amusing when even eBay has issues with Safari.

you mean cross platform/OS.

check this link:

Comic Sans MS is the only cursive font on the list.

the other alternative is using a cursive font for mac platform, and do font mapping to different cursive font for windows platform. how-to-font-mapping:
