exs24

i have logic pro 7.2 is when i am in the exs24 sampler it takes about a minute for most of the samples to load up i didnt have this problem before its only recently all other samples in other samplers load fine its only the exs24. does anymore know why dis is and how i can fix it

mac mini, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

You probably need to relink your instruments - ie, if you moved your samples, when the EXS24 goes to load them, it can't find them and thus goes searching your drives for where they are - this is why it takes some time.

The project manager in Logic Po 7 can relink your instruments - ie, it scans the disk, and updates the selected sampler instruments with the new locations of the samples directly, so they go back to loading fast again.

Redmatica's EXS/Pro Manager does this even better and faster.

I said, you need to relink your instruments.

You haven't relinked them, you've just run a scan. That does nothing the the sampler instruments.

You need to select all your sampler instruments, and select the "relink selected sampler instruments" option (I forget the actual wording offhand, as this function was removed in Logic 8+).

See the manual on the project manager if you are not sure how to do this.
