Iphone Experts Pls Help.

Hi all, i have just bought an iphone 3gs 16gb. Problem i encountered is my pc cant installed the phone to sync with itunes. I have installed the latest itunes, reinstall it, the apple mobile device, the driver and whatever taught on the web but still cant get e problem fixed. The hardware installer can only shows detected iphone but failed to install as it prompt cant find e driver etc etc... I know my pc is quite "old" but e requirments needed shold be ok as i dun have such problem with my previous phones. Any kind souls pls help.... Thanks in advance...

My PC:- Compaq Presario SR1228AP
Windows XP Home Service Pack 3, Intel Celeron D Processor 325, CPU 2.53GHz, 760 MB Ram.

iPhone OS 3.1.2

Hi there, thanks for all reply. I from Singapore, I bought my phone thru M1 the service provider. Now i know where the fault from. Is my computer. I tried it on a friend macbook today and it works. My phone just connect to the macbook itunes almost instantly. So what must i do in order to connect to my home pc? Sorry, i not very good at this.....

Hi ShadyMac, tks for your prompt reply. I just tried unistalled the antivirus on my com and tri it but still get the same result. The windows hardware manager still only manage to get the "iphone found" but cant install/connect when going thru e wizard...... "e device driver cannot be found", "problem installing e device" etc........ Haiz.... sad... 😟 I tried all usb port, installed latest itunes, every tutorials on e web available regarding sync issues... Where is the fault? Help!

The specs you give should allow for it to sync...

While the anti virus software on the PC is off or uninstalled...you need to remove and uninstall iTunes, AMDS (apple mobile device services) and all apple connection programs... Then re-install all of them back iTunes AMDS etc... with anti virus off this should allow for the drivers to properly load for connection
