extend recent call log to go back further?

Is there a setting or anything you can do to make it so your call history goes back further than it currently does? Right now it only seems to go back a couple of days, or maybe it holds a certain amount of calls. I switched from a Palm Centro though, and it would retain call histories indefinitely as far back as you wanted until you cleared them out.
