Can Only hear out of one ear bud

I can only hear out of one side of my ear buds. It's the same side as the volume control and voice control. Those functions still work, but the right side bud plays no sound. If I plug another headphone into the iphone I can hear both sides. And now I just tested the ear buds on my CPU and I can only hear out of one side. So its not the phone. Any ideas on what's wrong and or if they are still under warrantee. I've only had this for 6-7months.

Everything that came in the box is under a one year warranty.

I've had the same problem with the earbuds...always the right. Apple replaced the first set with no problem a few weeks ago. However, last night sound in the right earbud on the replacement started going in and out, and this morning is completly dead. Apple insists there is no defect in their product and it must be caused from some external elements...meaning they think i'm the problem. I couldn't be more careful with them especially after having similar problems on two prior occasions. They also state this is not a widespread problem, but there is no way we are the only two.

I had a similar problem. The left channel had much lower volume than the right.
After looking around I tried this http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/how_to/4258816.html without even the alcohol.
I now hear the left just fine...!

I took it into the apple store and they replaced it for free, no questions. It was still under warrantee. In fact they not only replaced my ear buds with the new inner ear headset. Sweet!
