Rearranging Song Order in ITunes Library

Hey Everybody,
I would like to rearrange the order of songs/I tunes files I have in my Itunes Library. I try to highlight and drag them to put them where I want, but it doesn't work. That only works when I am in a playlist. Ideas on how to do it within the Library. Thank You!!

Mac Book Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.2)

You can't do it in the music library, only in playlists. Your library will be sorted according to the column you select.

What a bummer! I want to change the song order in my library so that it is in the order of a particular album I have put in the library. Would the easiest way, then, be to create separate playlists?

Hmm what's wrong with the order at present? Which column is your library sorted on? See my previous post on Grouping Tracks Into Albums, in particular the topic Use an album friendly view.
